With the speed Realme is moving, the product type is actually
unstoppable. The brand has already launched four phones in India this
year including India's first 5G phone, the Realme X50 Pro, and is now working to tap into the smart home space with tvs, soundbars and more.
I've used several Realme phones in the past and feel like the product type gets better with each new phone. The Realme UI is now refined and no longer feels cramped. Realme 6 and Realme Me 6 Pro Launches in India last month and it comes with Realme UI based on android 10 software and overall I feel so much better that they are previous rulers.
Realme says that with the 6 series "redefined" the product portfolio and after spending a week with 6 Pro I agree. For those who don't know, Realme 6 Pro is followed by Realme X and not the Reme 5 Pro successor as many have expected. Realme 6 introduced alongside 6 Pro wins the year 5 Pro.
Enabling Realme 6 Pro is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 720G SoC, which you will also find in the recently released Redmi Note 9 Pro series.
The Snapdragon 720G smartphone platform has been launched a few months ago and Realme 6 Pro was the first tool to use the new chipset.
The Snapdragon 720G comes with a few minor improvements over last year's Snapdragon 730 / 730G, including high clock speed performance.
The chipset supports dual GNSS including NavIC for India and Bluetooth 5.1 with aptX Adaptive.
Depending on the performance, the Snapdragon 720G is compatible with the Snapdragon 730 / 730G with some minor advantages in certain situations.
I tested Realme 6 Pro using a standard set of operating systems to get a first-hand view of the performance of that machine. I also compared the results with the Redmi Note 9 Pro with PCCO X2, here's what I saw.
Based on the a for mentioned results, it's safe to say that Realme 6 Pro is among the best performing devices at this price point.
I didn't see any jitters or lags in daily use and the game performance was also satisfying for me. In games like PUBG, Realme 6 Pro supports "Ultra" rate (40fps), but doesn't include HDR editing support. COD Mobile works with a frame rate of "Max" (60fps) in high quality graphics settings and a "very high" frame price in "High quality" images.
In both articles, I did not see that there were no independent contractors of any kind, or during long play. In less demanding titles like Alto's Odyssey and Breakneck, 6 Pro breaks down the sweat and if you're a fan of titles like arcade games, you won't have to deal with any issues with the device.
Realme 6 Pro packs a respectable 4,300mAh battery with the support of 30W VOOC Flash Charge 4.0.
While the battery is smaller than that found on the Redmi Note 9 Pro and Poco X2, the device easily kept me full for one full day of use. I always get a screen-time of over 5.5 hours with the 90Hz display option open and over 6 hours with the option turned off for my daily use.
I was always left with about 40% of the battery at the end of the day, which kept me on a more masculine day as there was less battery overnight.
Sometimes when I pressed the app with binge-watching videos or playing some PUBG games, the device was left with a 20 percent battery at the end of the day.
When it comes to charging, a 30W included charger works well and takes about an hour to charge from 10 percent to 100 percent. However, the device is slightly warm to the touch when charging.
The company has opted for the LCD display on this phone, unlike the Super AMOLED for some of its siblings available on this budget. The 6.6-inch Full HD + display with 2400 x 1080 pixels resolution is quite sharp, despite the pixel density dropping.
